PLEASE Help me. I have looked at several Rapid Detox Programs offered across the USA. One in California, for $15800, one in Michigan, for $9800, one in Florida for about $15000, and one in Las Vegas (Las Vegas Rapid Detox Medical Clinic), for $6800. I contacted the one in Vegas and the doctor replied to my email stating that his rapid detox program is the best and costs the least. He also suggested to me to run a search on "rapid detox lawsuits". There are enough to scare the heck out of me. Can anyone please tell me if the one in Vegas is just too cheap to be efficient? I am addicted to Tramadol (3 years). I switched to Tramadol to step down from my addiction to Lortab, which I have used for 9 years befor the switch. I have to do something and I really need help. Thank you

You have to realize that in medicine your safety should be your major concern. Important aspects for you to consider...

* Doctor experience on detoxification under anesthesia ( like any other medical procedure , experience is knowledge)
* This procedure has come a long way in the last decade, it should not take more the 2 hours under anesthesia to minimize risks...(some doctors are still using an old protocol that requires over 6 hrs under anesthesia)
* This procedure should always be done in an ICU of a full service hospital not a clinic or a surgi center , where if you need medical assistance from cardio or any other emergency help- no transfers are necessary.
* Minimum of 3 days required, 24 hrs before procedure, 24 hours ICU and 24 after procedure inpatient.
Any other short cuts to minimize cost, maximizes risks. So as you see there is no miracles on costs but just difference of safety and outcome.

Hi all.I am new to the board, but not new to this addiction. Its been 3 years of pain and I am tired of being sick and tired.I want my lie back,I want my old self back.I didnt realize how treating my various pains would end up as me being this physically dependant.
I am considering the rapid detox for next month.I have chosen floridadetox. Is there anyone who has gone there? It is way too expensive but I know my limitations and I cannot go through the typical detox. The horror stories I have found are terrible. It makes my skin crawl just reading them.I have been researching this treatment for days now and feel I have chosen a good place.Hoping someone has experience in Florida with Dr.Sponaugle.
I pray for the gentleman who is struggling with his 40 year addiction. My heart goes out to you.
