hello... Ive been online for 3 days looking for rapid detox centers in ny...im having a really hard time finding anything...my husband has me looking for him hes a heroin addict and he wants to get clean...pls if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated

Unfortunately there is no detox in your area. I believe that all you have available to you would be the traditional "Rehab", and if you're coming off of opiates, you'll probably be prescribed a 'replacement' drug like Suboxone, which is just as hard to come off of. DO your research online and find the SAFEST place to detox, does it have to be in NY? Have you gone to http://www.opiates.com?

Hi, I have cronic neck pain and have been taking about 600 mg of hydrocodone daily prescribed by my pain mgmt dr. for about two years. I have decided that I can not do this forever. It has taken over my life. Today I started taking Suboxone. I am taking 3 2mg tablets a day for 10 days. However, now I am concerned after reading this post and a few others, that after the 10 days is up I will be right back where I started. Will I still have withdrawals and be physically addicted after the 10 days of suboxone? Thanks.

rapid detox is illegal in Wasghington state. BUT this is what you shld do, i did this last week and am clean. Go to a doctor who does suboxen or naltrexone(thats the better one), But basically she gave me all types of prescriptions to ease the wthdrawls and they worked like a char, valium, xanex, clonodine (the best one!!!) dont get it confused with kilonopin. Sleeping pills, mucle relaxes etc. So basiclly u just get doped up on the couch for 4 days or so, and its easy it is really. hen once you are clean take a naltrexone will block any opiate, take these twice a dat they have no mood altering capabilities, u wldnt even know u took em. While on them you hsoot 500 of hroin in u and you be sober as hell, and wldnt make you sick. good luck talk to docs, mine was 50 for th visit plus the drugs.

I am not sure about NY centers, but I went to one in California. Called Klean Treatment Center (www.kleantreatmentcenter.com). They turned my life around. The deal with all sorts of addictions and have financial aid. They are also opening other centers in Florida and San Francisco. Hoe is your husband coping so far?
